The Poppenrichter circular hiking trail with a length of 13.5 kilometers is part of the ore trail, which focuses on the more than 1000-year old mining tradition in the "Ruhr area of the Middle Ages". Until 2016, the inn "Zu den drei Mohren" was located in Michaelspoppenricht, whose historical significance is reflected in the former inscription: "The old road to Nuremberg, and also to Prague then, indicates to you here the inn to the Three Moors."
